Hello, I am a Chief Scientist at CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR-4PI), Bangalore, India, and a Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). My research interests are Cyber Security, Data Analytics and Threat Intelligence, Internet Protocol Engineering, and High Performance Computing. Currently, I focus on security and performance aspects of next generation trasport layer protocols (e.g., TCP, SCTP, MPTCP and QUIC) and Data Analytics of Darknet Traffic for Cyber Intelligence.
In the past, I also worked at Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS), Berlin, Germany, and at The French National Research Institute in Computer Science and Control (INRIA), Sohia Antipolis, France.

Students are expected to have good programing skill in C/C++ and python, good understanding of packet switching network, TCP/IP protocol suite, Linux Kernel, tools like wireshark, tcpdump, scapy, MySQL, etc. The students would typically work on problems related to data driven inference on Cyber Security, Cyber and threat Intelligence, Darknet and Linux Kernel. Some background in Data Science, AI/ML, Deep Learning, etc., are also expected.
