In-house Finite Element Software Code Development (Aatmanirbhar Bharat)
Finite Element Software/Program codes were written in Fortran 77/90, and successfully integrated with indigenous software called FINEART (FINIite Element Engineering analysis of structures using Adaptive Refinement Techniques). This software package was developed, through the collaboration of five CSIR Laboratories in the Linux platform. The finite elements were benchmarked for a various tests like patch test, element distortion test, etc., and compared with commercial software packages like NASTRAN and ABAQUS. It can be seen that the sensitivity of the finite elements to mesh distortion is a problem that has not been completely resolved. So, we attempted this problem based on certain scientific principles.
