Dr. V. Senthilkumar was born and brought up in Trichy which is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu.
India. His school life and college life was also in Trichy. He joined
C-MMACS in 2002 as a Junior Scientist / Scientist 'B'.
He is working in Interdisciplinary Data Research Division (IDRD).
He started working on computational mechanics from July 2002 onwards. His beloved boss,colleague,adviser and friend Dr.Gangan Prathap
(GP) taught him the unknowns of research interest. GP gave him the foundation knowledge to Dr.Senthilkumar to climb in research towards the field of structural mechanics. He feels that he is very much lucky that right from the day he joined, he started working with Dr.GP. He also worked with Dr.T.R.Ramamohan,Former Acting Head, Former Chief Scientist, Former Group Coordinator, Computational Industrial Mechanics Programme (CIMP), CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR 4PI) till Sep 2015. Further, He worked with Dr.T.R.Krishnamohan, Former Senior Principal Scientist, Former Group Coordinator, Computational Industrial Mechanics Programme (CIMP) till May 2016.
Currently, Dr. V. Senthilkumar is Senior Principal Scientist from July 2022 onwards and works primarily on Computational Material Science and Engineering with Data.
Also, he is an Associate Professor in Academy of Scientific And Innovative Research (AcSIR)
