Guidelines
(A) Project/Thesis
Students are highly encouraged to interact with CSIR 4PI Scientists and identify a guide and area of work prior to the formal submission of their application to SAPRK. Research interests and e-mail addresses of CSIR 4PI scientists are given at www.csir4pi.in
It is mandatory that students must have faculty member of their University/ Institute as a guide/co-guide. The name, designation, e-mail address and telephone no. of the guide from their Institute must be provided while submitting the online application.
Please ensure that your application is submitted at least four weeks prior to the commencement of your Project/Thesis work. We will not be able to process late applications.
Online applications will be scrutinized by an expert committee at regular intervals. Students may be called for a discussion with the expert committee prior to their selection on a need basis. Selected students will be intimated through e-mail.
Selected students are requested to report to CSIR 4PI office on the project starting date (or the previous day) with the following documents: - Originals of all mark cards and certificates starting from 10th onwards
- One xerox copy of all the originals
- Two copies of passport size photographs, and
- A certificate in the prescribed format (available for download) signed by the candidate, the internal guide from the University/Institute and the head of the department.
Students reporting without the above documents will not be allowed to join CSIR 4PI. The original mark cards and certificate will be returned to the student on the same day after verification.
Upon completion of the project, students will have to prepare a thesis for submission to their University/Institute and CSIR 4PI. The thesis submitted to both the place should be identical. The format of the thesis cover page and certificate is available at the download section of the SPARK homepage.
Students will be allowed to print two copies of their thesis at CSIR 4PI. Additional copies, as required, have to be prepared outside at their own expenditure.
Two copies of the thesis (one hard copy and one soft copy) completed in all respects have to be submitted to CSIR 4PI along with a no due form (available for download from SPARK page). Students will be issued a relieving letter after receiving these documents.
Please note that currently, CSIR 4PI is not in a position to offer any stipend or provide accommodation to students.There are large no of affordable paying guest accommodation available surrounding to CSIR 4PI. Near by areas to search for accommodation are Kodihalli, Murugeshpalya, Jeevan Bhima Nagar, Domlur, Thippasandra, Yemlur, Marthahalli, HAL, Indra Nagar.
(B) Internship
Maximum duration of Internship is 3 Months. Those students who needs a signed Project/Thesis report should apply under "Project/Thesis" catagory.
The student may identify a CSIR 4PI scientist, who is willing to guide him/her during the internship. Research interests and e-mail addresses of CSIR 4PI scientists are given at www.csir4pi.in Please write to the Scientist and obtain e-mail consent from him. Also, discuss and agree up on the start date and duration of the summer internship with the guide.
Once the guide’s consent is obtained, the student may submit his/her internship application at www.csir4pi.in/spark
