Dr. Singh worked closely with Dr. Yajnik in establishing CSIR Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Computer Simulation (C-MMACS) and mentoring scientists. His scientific interests include Geophysics, especially the thermal history of the continental crust. He is a fellow of the of the Indian Academy of Sciences and Indian National Science Academy(INSA) and recipient of the S S Bhatnagar Award in 1985.
